Meet our team:
Jeremy Oughton
I’m Jeremy Oughton, and I am an experienced business consultant and leadership coach.
I began business coaching in 2018 because I realised I had a genuine passion for helping individuals and businesses achieve their full potential.
I have lived and worked all around the world and have been coaching and consulting long before starting EST: Executive Coaching and Mentoring. It was in 2018 that I decided to take my passion seriously and start achieving some of my own goals. I have worked in the leadership and development sector since 1994 and began to develop my own learning and development journey with MSc in Information Technology as the first step on my coaching and mentoring journey. I then completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) qualification, before completing my Advanced Certification in Executive Coaching to focus on helping executives and leaders.
During my 30+ years in business, I have worked with a wide network of professionals, spanning the public and private sectors, to offer them specific, measurable, and actionable solutions so they can gain confidence, excel, and achieve their goals.
But the most satisfying thing of all? Helping people achieve their goals while creating a healthy work-life balance. And in some cases, business leaders have finally been able to tip the scales so they can enjoy everything life has to offer – not just work.
Patrick Cross
I’m Pat Cross, an experienced leader in the education sector. I have worked in vocational education from teacher to senior manager in FE, and onto a specialism in workforce development with the Learning and Skills Council.
In 2008 I founded an organisation that became a leading private VET provider in the West Midlands, supporting employers, workforces and those seeking work; mainly with UK public funding. As part of our programmes, we gained EU funding for staff and student mobilities to Europe, coming to lead a consortium of six FE colleges, sending their learners and also our own to many different European cities for work experience. Eventually this was replaced by UK’s Turing Scheme, for which I have been writing successful bids since its advent.
Now having recently retired from this delivery organisation, I now focus on supporting other organisations to develop international partnerships, gain funding for them and implement them with enhanced quality systems and processes.
My credentials and qualifications include being a qualified teacher and counsellor, PGDip HRD, PRINCE 2 Practitioner, and MA in Strategic HRM. I became a Follow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in 2004.
Above all, I enjoy the thrill of making something new happen – that stimulates learning and opens up opportunities for all.
